FERC Issues Staff Report on Implementation of Executive Order 14303 Restoring Gold Standard Science; May 23, 2025 (Updated September 1, 2026)

On September 19, 2025, staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) submitted to the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) the attached Staff Report on Implementation of Executive Order 14303 Restoring Gold Standard Science. OSTP’s guidance requires that “[f]uture annual reports are due to OSTP by September 1st of each year, beginning in 2026.” See Off. of Science & Tech. Pol’y, Exec. Off. of the President, Agency Guidance for Implementing Gold Standard Science in the Conduct & Management of Scientific Activities (June 23, 2025). Accordingly, FERC staff hereby acknowledges and confirms that the September 19, 2025, Report remains current and no modifications are required at this time.
