No. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) does not have jurisdiction over retail natural gas or retail electricity markets, only wholesale markets. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) collects state level retail consumption and price information. Please visit the Energy Information Administration Web site for further information on retail energy markets.

No. Much of the data presented in the tables, charts and figures posted on the Market Assessments Web site are proprietary. Due to contractual stipulations with data vendors, we are not allowed to share this raw information. This information can be obtained by subscribing to the data services provided by the data vendors. In some cases, the data comes from other government sources or from Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs). In these cases, the raw data is usually publicly available and can be obtained through their Web sites.
