During her nine years of service, Commissioner LaFleur has been a source of wisdom and stability at FERC. I will never forget the kindness she offered me when I came to the Commission. She and her staff did not hesitate to show me the lay of the land as I stepped into this new role. From her guidance on the many nuanced issues we’ve had to grapple with, to her good humor and a shared sense of pride in the New England Patriots, I consider her to be both a mentor and friend. Though this is a loss to the FERC community, I look forward to watching her continued excellence wherever the next chapter takes her. I want to thank Commissioner LaFleur for her service to the American people and her good stewardship at the Commission.
