News Release: March 7, 2019

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Chairman Neil Chatterjee announced today that he is appointing Jignasa Gadani as Director of the Office of Energy Policy and Innovation (OEPI) and Lindsee Gentry as Deputy Director of the Office of External Affairs (OEA).

Gadani has served as Acting Director of OEPI since June 2018, and she served as Deputy Director of OEPI from 2014-2018. She has been at FERC since 2001, serving previously as Director, Division of Electric Power Regulation-East in the Office of Energy Market Regulation from 2010-2014, as an attorney advisor in the Office of the General Counsel’s Energy Markets Division, and as a Legal Advisor to former Commissioner Philip D. Moeller. During law school, she worked at the Illinois Commerce Commission.

Gadani earned a B.A. from DePaul University and a J.D., with a Certificate in Environmental and Energy Law, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology.

Gentry, who has served as Communications Director for Chairman Chatterjee since September 2017, previously served as communications specialist and speechwriter for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), where she implemented the Leader’s communications strategy by coordinating with senior policy staff and drafting messaging to support legislative efforts. She previously had served as a congressional aide for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL).

A native of Mississippi, Gentry holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Alabama.
