Docket Nos.: OR21-10, AD21-16
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission today issued an order establishing a conference aimed at resolving current and long-term issues regarding access to capacity on the SFPP North Line pipeline that could impact the availability of jet fuel at the Reno-Tahoe Airport. Today’s order invites several airlines, cargo shippers, the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, diesel fuel and gasoline shippers and other users of the North Line to participate in the conference.
Last week, several airlines asked FERC to use its authority under the Interstate Commerce Act to facilitate additional shipments of jet fuel to Reno. Today’s order concludes that the airlines’ request could potentially cause disruptions to diesel and gasoline shipments. Instead, the Commission asked all parties to work through a conference to address the fuel supply issues in the Reno area.
The Commission urges all parties to work together, as quickly as possible, to address this situation in a way that recognizes the potential impacts on the many different types of customers in the region that rely on North Line fuel shipments.
