ERC and NARUC will hold a meeting of its Federal-State Current Issues Collaborative on April 30, 2025, at FERC Headquarters in Washington, D.C., to discuss electricity sector issues of common interest. A public notice announcing the meeting will be issued today followed by a more detailed agenda to be issued prior to the meeting.
“As a former state regulator, I understand and appreciate the critical role our state partners play in the energy arena. I am looking forward to the opportunity to get together at FERC to discuss issues that are important to both of us,” FERC Chairman Mark Christie said.
The Federal-State Current Issues Collaborative provides a venue for federal and state regulators to share perspectives, increase understanding, and, where appropriate, identify potential solutions regarding challenges and coordination on a broad range of matters that impact specific state and federal regulatory jurisdiction.
FERC announced the new Collaborative in March 2024 in Docket No. AD24-7-000. The Collaborative is comprised of all five FERC Commissioners and 10 state commissioner representatives, nominated by NARUC and affirmed by FERC.
