On February 7, 2025, FERC issued a Draft Supplemental EIS (SEIS) on the CP2 LNG and CP Express pipeline projects in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, and certain pipeline facilities in Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes, Louisiana and Jasper and Newton Counties, Texas. The draft SEIS was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the FERC regulations implementing NEPA under Title 18 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 380 (18 CFR 380). The deadline for submitting comments is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (4:00 p.m. Central Time) on March 31, 2025. The draft SEIS is not a decision document. It presents Commission staff’s independent analysis of the environmental issues for the Commission to consider when addressing the merits of issues in this proceeding.
FERC seeks public comment on the Draft SEIS's disclosure and discussion of potential environmental effects.
