Statement Regarding PJM Interconnection Compliance Filing Comment Deadline
I would have granted the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio’s (PUCO) request to extend the comment deadline for PJM’s compliance filing at least until June 1, 2020. As PUCO explained, PJM’s compliance filing raised many complex questions of law and fact that require significant resources to fully analyze and respond to. In light of those demands, PUCO urged the Commission to grant it at least until June 1, 2020, to respond to PJM’s compliance filing so that the state could focus on “prioritizing the allocation of available resources to those actions that may mitigate COVID-19 public health and safety risks.” We should be doing everything within our power to permit states—and other stakeholders—to do just that.
