The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) today extended through January 29, 2021, two pandemic emergency-related waivers that were to expire September 1, in an effort to provide continued safety and flexibility for the public and the companies the Commission regulates.

First, the Commission voted to approve an extension of the waiver of notarization and in-person meeting requirements in open access tariffs. This extends the temporary waivers the Commission approved April 2.

Also today, the FERC Office of the Secretary issued a notice extending a waiver of regulations requiring that filings with the Commission be notarized or supported by sworn declarations. The Secretary originally issued this waiver April 2, and extended it May 8.
