FERC Continues Top Rankings in Best Places To Work Survey The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) continues to rank among the top mid-sized federal agencies for employee engagement in 2018, according to the Partnership for Public Service Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings announced today.
FERC has been near or at the top of the mid-sized federal agencies in the annual rankings since 2014, and that continues this year. In this year’s survey, FERC ranks No. 2 among mid-sized federal agencies. Also this year, FERC’s Office of the General Counsel, also a top performer among federal agency offices in recent years, was honored this year as the top agency subcomponent across the entire federal government, in a tie with the Office of Inspector General at the Tennessee Valley Authority.
“This award recognizes the high caliber of leadership and dedication on the part of the more than 1,400 employees at FERC,” Chairman Neil Chatterjee said. “This sustained level of excellence at FERC could not be possible without their continued dedication and talent. I’m proud to celebrate this achievement with my colleagues, and I’m even more honored to serve with them each day.”
The Partnership for Public Service’s 2018 Best Places to Work rankings include the views of employees from 488 federal agencies and subcomponents, the most in the history of the rankings. This includes 17 large federal agencies, 27 midsize agencies, 29 small agencies and 415 subcomponents. The majority of the data used to develop the Best Places to Work rankings was collected by the Office of Personnel Management’s annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, administered April through June 2018 to permanent executive branch employees.
