Docket Nos. AD13-9-000

Notice | Event Details

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will convene a workshop from noon to 5 p.m. on March 30, 2017, to discuss the effectiveness of the tested two-year pilot process as required by section 6 of the Hydropower Regulatory Efficiency Act of 2013.

The Act directs the Commission to investigate the feasibility of a two-year licensing process for hydropower development at non-powered dams and closed-loop pump storage projects.

FERC staff convened a workshop in October 2013 to begin investigating the feasibility of a two-year process. The workshop will be webcast and open to the public; all interested parties are invited to participate.

An agenda has been issued with the notice to facilitate discussions at the workshop. Those who wish to file written comments may do so by April 14, 2017. For more information: https://www.ferc.gov/industries/hydropower/indus-act/efficiency-act.asp.
