The Division of Dam Safety and Inspections, Office of Energy Projects, has revised Chapter 1 of the Engineering Guidelines on General Requirements. The guidelines are revised to be consistent with the Federal Guidelines for Dam Safety – Hazard Potential Classification Systems for Dams, FEMA 333, April 2004. Other changes include an explanation of engineering analyses and documents that are typically required for hydropower projects under the Commission’s jurisdiction.
